I will represent the interest of all individuals, businesses and agriculture. If elected I will be a responsible steward of Irwin EMC’s resources while actively inquiring about issues that are important to all our members. I seek to use my professional and personal experiences to make a positive impact on the communities served by Irwin EMC. I have made an effort not to ask for votes without telling why I desire to serve on the Irwin EMC board. I also currently work part time at South Georgia Oil Distributors in Ashburn. I have continually farmed in Irwin County for 34 years. I also served as South Region Director for Agriculture Education with the Georgia Department of Education before retiring in 2021. My degrees in math, agriculture, and education led me to having a career as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor in Irwin, Berrien, and Wilcox Counites. I graduated from ICHS and attended ABAC and UGA. We are blessed with two married sons, Bradley and Brooke Tucker of Virginia and Bryan and Addie Tucker of Irwin County. I have been married to Holly Wiggins Tucker from Waterloo for over 35 years. I am Ira Tucker and a lifelong resident of Irwin County.
